…Zimdancehall sensation leaves promoter counting losses
MASTER H might have made the biggest mistake of his young career after refusing to board the plane to the United Kingdom for a show, apparently in protest over his manager being denied a visa.

The Zim-dancehall prodigy’s refusal to travel for the Africa Day concert this Saturday has come at quite a huge cost to the promoter.
According to UK-based Zimbabwean promoter King Alfred, Master H was part of a line-up of artistes performing at a show dubbed Zimbabwe Cup Clash UK 2024.
Much to King Alfred’s bemusement, Master H did not join the other traveing artistes because his manager, only identified as Mupondasugar, had his visa application turned down by the British authorities.
The reasons for the decline were not made public.
“In preparation for Zimbabwe Cup Clash UK 2024, all visas for the performing artistes were processed on time and were issued accordingly by the UKVI,” said King Alfred.
“All five artistes were granted visas, including Master H, and we were expecting him to travel to the UK. Master H and his management team decided that Master H should not travel without Mupondasugar since Mupondasugar, as far as we are aware at the time, does not have a valid UK visa.”
Master H’s no-show has since left the promoter counting his losses since a return ticket and accommodation had already been booked.
“New Generation Entertainment, the organisers of the bash had purchased Master H’s UK round trip flight tickets but he did not board the flight with the other artistes billed for Zimbabwe Cup Clash UK 2024, added King Alfred.
“However, the show is going ahead as scheduled (it was held on Saturday) and we promise you a spectacular show. We value your continued support.”
The Nawanadem singer proved to be a big letdown, considering that he is currently the man-of-the-moment.
He is climbing high on the music charts with his hit, Nawanadem, featuring Voltz JT. He also has a follow-up track titled Kelly Kelvedhura, featuring Tamy Moyo.
Just like the organisers, many of Master H’s fans on social media weren’t impressed too, saying he has missed an opportunity to appeal to a wider audience.
One fan wrote: “This guy must be blacklisted by promoters, otherwise the whole industry will go down because of such behaviour.” A second fan commented: “Such behaviour is uncalled for. Why is the manager so important as if he is the one who is going to perform?”
Wrote a third one: “I don’t think this youngster will go far with the way he handles his business. If that was the case, why not alert the promoters on time so they can make necessary changes?”
