The scandalous workshop was to be presided over by officials from the Office of the President and Cabinet, the ruling Zanu PF’s Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology and the Central Intelligence Organisation, making the already captured judges further suborned.
After being exposed yesterday by the media for trying to openly and brazen indoctrinate judges to ensure conformity to some partisan party political agendas, government, through the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), has cancelled the controversial “induction workshop” for the top judicial officers which was set for Friday and Saturday at Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare.
The scandalous workshop was to be presided over by officials from the Office of the President and Cabinet, the ruling Zanu PF’s Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology and the Central Intelligence Organisation, making the already captured judges further suborned.
Here is the memo from the Judicial Service Commission to all heads of the courts hastily cancelling President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government and Zanu PF plot to indoctrinate judges through an “induction workshop” which was set to be conducted by senior officials from the Office of the President and Cabinet, the ruling party’s Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology and the Central Intelligence Organisation on Friday and Saturday at Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare.
The scandalous workshop was designed to further suborn the already captured judiciary, something which was going to irretrievably undermine judicial independence and the justice delivery system currently under siege from the executive and the legislature controlled by Zanu PF.
