Stakeholders jointly commemorate the Africa Anti-Corruption Day

Stakeholders in Zimbabwe’s fight against corruption, among them the National Prosecuting Authority, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and Transparency International Zimbabwe, this week jointly commemorated the Africa Anti-Corruption Day with a call for government to put in place whistle-blower protection mechanisms.

Stakeholders in Zimbabwe’s fight against corruption, among them the National Prosecuting Authority, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and Transparency International Zimbabwe, this week jointly commemorated the Africa Anti-Corruption Day with a call for government to put in place whistle-blower protection mechanisms.

Although Cabinet adopted the Principles for Witness and Whistle-blower protection in 2022, Zimbabwe still does not have effective whistle-blower protection laws.

Stakeholders say this has contributed to the country’s failure to deal with corruption.
