MP for Nkulumane constituency in Bulawayo Desire “Moyoxide” Moyo died in a road accident at Shangani, 100 kilometres northeast of Bulawayo along the Harare-Bulawayo highway, in the early hours of today.
Moyo, a former teacher and acclaimed poet, was coming from parliament in Harare with four colleagues who survived the crash.
He died on the scene.
Moyo’s colleagues Madalaboy Ndebele, Senator Rittah Ndlovu, Sethulo Ndebele and Libion Sibanda survived.
They sustained serious injuries and were taken to Gweru General Hospital for treatment.
