Former Harare mayor Bernard Manyenyeni and ex-Chamber Secretary and Acting Town Clerk Josephine Ncube will appear in court tomorrow after they were arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on charges of criminal abuse of duty.
Manyenyeni will be represented by Lovemore Madhuku, a professor of law.
Allegations are that the two connived and unlawfully amended a land development agreement between Harare municipality and Shelter Zimbabwe, which prejudiced the capital city an estimated US$20 million in revenue.
The deal involved a housing project and development of 1 500 residential stands on 657 hectares of land in Tafara, Mabvuku, Harare.
