Two British nationals, Tihaise Darlin Elisha (19) and Taylor Tamara Simone (21) have been sentenced to an effective 6 years each for unlawful dealing in dangerous drugs.
The duo was convicted and sentenced by the Harare Magistrates’ Court, to 9 years in prison, 3 suspended on good behaviour.
It is the state’s case that on 1 May 2025, at around 1300hrs, police details, stationed at arrivals terminal 2 at Robert Mugabe International Airport recieved information that Simone and Elisha onboard Ethiopian Airways Flight ET 873, from Thailand, were carrying drugs into the country.

The duo landed at the airport at around 1430hrs.
As they waited for their lagguage at the carousel, police approached them, introduced themselves and took them and their lagguage to the searching bay.
The police found 124 x 500grammes of compressed dagga satchets (66.415kg) with a street value of over USD$600 000.
