Discovery Ambulance Services recruited 37 youths for Ambulance technician training, who had attended a First Aid Training at the Heritage Village today.

During his speech, company’s CEO David Munowenyu , asked those who had five O’levels to register for the training so that they would be dispatched to areas surrounding the Heritage village, once they complete the programme.
“How many of you have Mathematics and English at Ordinary Level who are keen to become Ambulance technicians?” he asked the crowd.
37 raised their hands and were awarded scholarships to complete the course of Ambulance technians.
“These 37 will be awarded scholarships to complete the ambulance technician course under this company,” he said.
“We are going to train you to be ambulance technicians and then work with you after you have finished training,” he added.

Operating under the Presidential Emergency Medical Scheme, the programme is expected to alleviate the ongoing deterioration within the health sector.
Munowenyu also told attendants that his company has trained over 50 000 First aiders across the country.
