After government released US$1.6 million to the now captured opposition CCC under the Political Parties Finance Act to self-proclaimed Secretary-General Sengezo Tshabangu, a new round of deadly infighting among the top leadership has erupted as clashes over money explode.

Tshabangu now says everyone, including interim party leader Welshman Ncube, are not his leaders. He is the boss, he says.

The money is now firmly under his control and he won’t let go.

Already, Tshabangu, formerly a nonentity, has benefitted a lot from destroying the opposition at the behest of Zanu PF, state institutions and state security services:

He is now a senator, got money, a car, house and status, and most importantly rubbing shoulders with political aristocracy in Zimbabwe, while living the life.
